Environmental Control
Filter Bags Product quality and compliance with dust emission limits is a core requirement for de-dusting in the Cement, Gypsum and Lime industries. The choice of Filter Media is of paramount importance in the cement kilns where high levels of NOx are found, due to high combustion temperatures. VAID offers Filter Bags, made from various Media best suited to the Customer's requirement.

Polypropylene Polypropylene Filter Bags, commonly known as "Felt" Filter Bags, have a maximum service temperature resistance of 70oC and provide excellent acid and alkali resistance. They are used in Pulse-Jet dust collectors.
Polyester Polyester Filter Bags are woven polyester fabric filter bags and have a maximum service temperature resistance of 135oC. These filter bags offer excellent dimensional stability, resulting in stable laminate with reduced membrane cracking or pin-holding and thus offering a long bag performance life. They are used in Shaker and Reverse-Air style dust collectors.
Acrylic Acrylic Felt Filter Bags, commonly known as "Homopolymer" Filter Bags, have a maximum service temperature of 130oC and their Homopolymer Acrylic Fibers provide chemical resistance to acids and alkalis. They are used in Pulse-Jet dust collectors.
Fiberglass Fiberglass Filter Bags have a maximum service temperature of 260oC and provide excellent acid and chemical resistance, resulting in an enhanced flex life and long bag performance life. They are used in Reverse-Air style dust collectors, where durability and chemical resistance are required.
Aramid Aramid Felt Filter Bags, commonly known as "Nomex" Filter Bags, have a maximum service temperature of 204oC and have a unique acid resistant treatment, which reduces the detrimental effects of moisture and acids. These bags can withstand pressure drops up to 6.2 kPa. They are used in Pulse-Jet dust collectors, where high differential pressure and high cleaning pressures are required due to aggressive dust loading.
Polyphenylene Sulphide Polyphenylene Sulphide Filter Bags, commonly known as "Ryton" Filter Bags, have a maximum service temperature of 190oC and have an excellent chemical resistance, which results in longer bag life. They are used in Pulse-Jet dust collectors, which are subject to chemical attacks.
Polyimide Polyimide Filter Bags, commonly known as "P84" Filter Bags, have a maximum service temperature of 260oC. Their unique properties of high chemical resistance and low shrinkage results in good performance in humid environments while extending the range of operational temperature. They are used in Pulse-Jet dust collectors.
Polytetrafluorethylene Polytetrafluorethylene Filter Bags, commonly known as "Teflon" Filter Bags, have a maximum temperature resistance of 260oC. They are chemically inert and result in providing highest all-round chemical resistance and maximum bag life. They are used in Pulse-Jet dust collectors, which have chemically aggressive operating conditions.
