Anchors
Refractory anchor systems are manufactured for all types of monolithic and brick refractory linings confirming that the exact grade of material, dimensions, spacing patterns and welding methods are selected for an anchorage system which is very necessary for retaining the refractory material and ensures the lining performance.
Types of Anchors
   SS Anchor    Ceramic Anchor

SS Ancho All refractory anchor hardware is wire formed, die stamped, roll threaded and welded into a variety of anchoring products for castable monolithic, abrasion resistant and ceramic fibre refractory linings.

Ceramic Anchor A premium super duty, Ceramic anchor finds application in cement, boilers and lime kilns, reheat furnaces, non-ferrous furnaces, and a variety of other applications.

  • AISI 304: As per our recommendation, AISI 304 can be used in the area with temperature less than 700oC.
  • AISI 310: Due to the increase in Nickel and Chromium as compared to AISI 304, this can be used in the temperature up to 1,100oC. However, due to high nickel content, AISI 310 is weak against sulphur, which tries to combine with the nickel of the alloy and weakens the alloy.
  • AISI 253MA: MA stands for MicroAlloy, which is a better solution for refractory castable lining for operation of cement plants. 253MA is an austenitic stainless steel designed primarily for use at maximum temperatures up to 1,150oC (slightly more than that of AISI 310).
  • C-Series: These are Ceramic Anchors designed for VC/VCX -Series clips and the R-604/VR and VT/VTP -Series Roof Hanger type Attachments. Various grades are available along with several mounting assemblies.
  • T-Series: These Ceramic Anchors are designed for the ER-Bolt washer assembly. They are primarily used in thick wall constructions or for special applications.
  • Ceramic Anchor qualities:
  • PR-45 - A premium super duty, fireclay anchor designed for severe super duty refractory applications
  • PR-70 - A mullite/andalusite based high alumina anchor with excellent heat properties, alkali resistance and thermal shock resistance.
  • PR-85 - A premium 85% alumina brick anchor exhibiting excellent strength and good alkali and slag resistance.
  • PR-90 - A high purity, 90% alumina brick anchor designed for severe service conditions.
Shim Plates
Shim Plates
The main function of the Shim Plate is to fuse the brick and the other to conduct the heat to the shell to promote the formation and solidification of the eutectic elements of the Clinker, thereby providing the initial requirements for building up the coating.
Flat Anchors
Flat Anchors
Flat Anchors were the most common shape, in the past, because they are very easy to fabricate, so any steel workshop can make them. Flat Anchors are made by cutting stainless steel into strips, and then the strips are bent into Y-shape.
Wire Anchor
Wire Anchor
Wire Anchors are more complicated to fabricate. Wire Anchors offer round cross-section to support the weight of castable. Even after corrosion from long usage, the remaining part of Wire Anchors is still bigger than that of the Flat Anchors.
Y-shape Anchor
Y-shape Anchor
The idea is to join 2 pieces of wires by welding to form Y-Shape, hoping that it will hold the castable. However, due to low melting point of the welding material (only around 500oC) that is used to join the 2 wires together, when in operation the welding joint is mostly broken apart, resulting in separation of the two wires.
